Pilates “tour” is in full action…6 events in 7 days, almost over! I started in Long Island, then NYC, another one in NYC, then I had Philly today, CT tomorrow, and Boston on Tuesday!
The ebbs and flows of start ups are crazy, in a good flow right now but last week was really hard.
If anyone out there is building community/product/etc ; this is what I’ve learned so far.
Ads → finding new people
UGC (user generated content aka other people using your product) → showing these new people that you are a real company, and showing your “cool” factor
Events → product education, community
These 3 things are NECESSARY at the same time, just 1 is not enough. Just having an ad is not going to make people buy but having an ad while doing the rest is going to make someone who has never heard of SQZ at least put it in their cart.
I’ve also learned meta ads are so freaking hard, but when they start working it feels so good lol .
I’ve learned, in person events is where SQZ thrives. It’s really hard to show people the different functions of SQZ online unfortunately, in person it obviously clicks. It’s hard though, because I can only do so many events !!! Excited to get back to NYC at the end of the week to some normalcy though 🙂
New inventory came two days ago!!! Adding two new colors hehe and restocking our navy blue that just sold out !
