Had SO much fun today Sculpting with SQZ , met so many new people & got to chat with the regulars as well 🙂 I’ve been loving getting SQZ in front of many people because there is no better way than showing the product than using it!

JUICY STUFF/UPDATES/THOUGHTS

SQZ got a big order…..

1 month ago - a really big gym asked me to come in and show them my product…I obviously went (at this point I only had my prototype - which didn’t even look perfect). I was giving her a “demo” - working out with it basically, and my mind went blank lol. Couldn’t think of all the ways I could use SQZ (yay go me!) - so I basically just pulled up my instagram because I had so many videos on there. THANK GOD I did that because she understood the vision, and was basically telling me she had to ask the department in charge of ordering equipment and all the protocol etc. I said no problem and that was that.

A few weeks went by and I had heard no update. She then randomly asked me for a picture of the product to show to the equipment team, I proceeded to send her 5 pictures, the instagram account, the 2 youtube videos, and god knows what else!

Another week or two went by, I was in bed - feeling anxiety about growing the brand. I think it was around 8PM - I messaged her - “Hey - any update? Getting the inventory tomorrow and wanted to know!” and she instantly responded

“Yes! We will be purchasing for 3 locations:)”

wait what…

YES YOU’RE GOING TO BUY??? MORE THAN 1??? 3 LOCATIONS???? AND WHY DID YOU NOT MESSAGE ME FIRST WHAT THE HELLLLLL

Guys the gasp I gusp in my dark room - the anxiety about growing the brand went away for a good hour or so lol yay! I’ll be revealing the customer soon but just know this gives me the fuel to keep going 🙂 

This also let me know that business related things/monetary things are not my source of happiness. So when I got her message that they would be purchasing for 3 studios, I kid you not I think the happiness lasted an hour and then I was like wait whats next, what’s the next strategy, what does the website need, blah blah blah. And then it hit me, work is still work - and even though I love it so much and it’s so cool - the things that bring me happiness are:

my parents, my sister, my boyfriend, happy hour with my college best friends, seeing regular clients in my reformer class at 8PM on a Thursday, blank street coffee, and watching youtube videos about other founders.

How I Almost Lost $1K:

So basically I am stupid and can’t read is the TLDR but I wanted to buy a canon g7x for SQZ’s insta/youtube. I messaged a guy on FB, he sent me pictures from the camera etc. We met up today (I literally made him meet me half way because I didn’t want to go all the way to him). He showed me the camera in person, I took some photos on it. I paid him OVER 1 THOUSAND DOLLARS. I got on my subway and took my phone out to take a picture of my new G7x….only the picture….it said G5x. Guys my heart stopped for a quick second.

I didn’t know what to do, this was a random guy on FB…who definitely didn’t care that I FULLY MESSED UP. I texted my sister, was about to fully just take my L, but she insisted I called him. I ended up texting him:

He wouldn’t even accept the money I was trying to give him for wasting his time. LITERAL ANGEL!!!

Anyway - guys please read what you’re going to spend thousands of dollars on (I’m sure everyone already does this).

MY BF FINALLY IS RETURNING FROM THE FREAKIN ARCTIC CIRCLE.

Lol he has been traveling Norway for the past 10 days - looks pretty but thank GOD he’s coming back because I realized I have no friends (besides you guys ofc, I guess that means I have a lot of friends actually so nevermind).
